Hypothetically speaking, if it’s proven to me beyond reasonable doubt that not everything is hunky-dory (I’m not referring to the rumours specifically, but just in general), I would probably begin to question my involvement in this fandom.

But it would take quite a bit to shake me off, given how much I believe in them. Mostly a lot of research, on my part. 

Figure it out on my own. Take no one’s word at face value. I’ll reach my own conclusion, eventually.

Mind you, I do think that the whole situation is ridiculous, so I’m not even considering the possibility at this point. More like when the girls have passed their prime, rather than, say, tomorrow.
